1.  What is shareware?

Shareware is software that is freely downloadable by the public.  Shareware usually has one or more "safeguards" that motivate users to pay for a license.  Typical safeguards include disabled features, nag screens, time limits, etc.  Purchasing a license from the shareware's author will entitle the user to a version of the shareware that has the safeguards disabled.

JotSmart is distributed at "trialware" - that is shareware with a set trial period in which to use and try the software.  After the trial period has ended, JotSmart will not function.  A reminder box will appear and ask you to please register.

2.  Where should I send suggestions for improvements?

You may send ideas for new features to our tech support, and they will evaluate them and add them to our "To-Do" list.

We take all suggestions seriously, although we cannot guarantee they will be implemented.  We do add custom features and/or API's for a fee.  Inquire with our technical support staff at support@dailytoast.com. Keep in mind all your great new feature suggestions will become Daily Toast's property, and by your submission you agree to release to Daily Toast all rights of use with no further compensation or consideration. We need to make sure you know who's running this ship . . . tell us when you find out!

3. Can I get a physical copy of the documentation?

In the interest of keeping prices low, we do not provide printed manuals.  However, you can print the documentation by clicking on the "Print" button at the bottom of the Table of Contents window.  Choose "Contents & Index" from the "Help" menu to view the Table of Contents window.

You can also print individual sections by navigating to the section, the clicking on the "Print" button at the top of the Help window.

4. Are PAD files available for DailyToast's programs?

5.  Does DailyToast have a reseller program?

Yes, DailyToast is actively seeking distribution partners and encourages anyone interested in distributing or reselling to contact our Business Development organization by clicking here to e-mail sales@dailytoast.com.

6.  Can I distribute the shareware version of DailyToast's programs?

Because our programs are shareware, we want them to get as much exposure as possible.  Anyone may freely distribute the following shareware programs in accordance to our End User License and Distribution Agreements:  

Generally those agreements say you will follow theses conditions:

  1. You may only distribute the original, unmodified file (download it from the program's home page). 

  2. You must not represent that you own the software or that it is free. 

  3. You must not represent that the software is fully functional (i.e. without shareware safeguards). 

  4. You must not provide a registration number for the software.

7. How about a link exchange?

We are definitely open to offers for exchanging web links with sites that complement JotSmart and fit within DailyToast's ethical guidelines.  If you are interested in exchanging links, send us a proposal and we will review/respond as soon as possible.  You can e-mail us at information@dailytoast.com.

8.  How can I get an old version of a program?

Visit our Archive Files page! While you may download previous versions at any time, please remember that we will not be providing support for old versions of JotSmart.  If you have a problem with the latest version, contact support@dailytoast.com.

9.  How do I inform DailyToast that my e-mail address has changed?

Click here to send us an e-mail at support@dailytoast.com telling us your old and new e-mail address.  We'll change our records as soon as possible and e-mail you back when it is done.
